Sorry for being gone
2I’m sorry if I just dissapeared on you for a few weeks, but I’ve been sick and felt that I needed a break and enjoy myself a bit. :)
My illness is just the common flu, so nothing to worry about, but I also felt “sick” every time I sat infront of the computer, I lost my gamingspirit. I started going skiing, making new friends and hanging out with them alot. It have been alot of fun, and I’m gonna try to do both from now on. Taking both things in moderation. :)
I’m sorry for not telling you but I couldnt be by the computer or even play any games. So to make up for it in a way I’mm gonna start a new giveaway today. Another post coming soon. Stay tuned.
Downside of being sick
1
Yes, the biggest downside with feeling ill and feverish is that I lack the will to play games. Tried a few Modern Warfare 3 games today, I was so bad! I blame the illness ;). I tried playing SWTOR, I logged in, idled and logged out, I checked my Steam library and felt that I didn’t want to play any game in there. So if I’m not that active on the site, Facebook or Twitter in the next few days you know why, I’m sick :)
I am sleeping alot and eating pills, so I do hope that I feel better soon, I have to send some resumes out and hopefully get a full-time job :) Also, here’s a picture of me if you ever wondered how I look, I look angry, but it might be the fever, let’s hope so :) Take care everyone, I’m gonna take a nap now and recover.

#SWTOR – Join the dark side
1So, the last few days I have been pretty occupied with playing Star Wars The Old Republic. If any of you have played it you know what I mean. This game is pretty intense and very intriguing. From the cutscene-storytelling quest pickups/drops to spacebattles, well everything. As a long term WoW & Rift player I think SWTOR hits the spot with experienced MMORPG’ers. Getting started is a breeze and progressing is really fun.
Some part involving killing elite mobs solo may feel a bit to easy sometimes, at least that’s what I feel as a Mercenary. I have my trusty healing-companion Mako with me at all times, and she’s a lifesaver. Tho it’s not only the elite mobs that can feel a bit easy, as far as I feel the whole game is pretty easy so far. I’m level 35 and have done several quests on Hoth, which is a level 37- something zone. Even killed an elite by myself. I guess thats pretty good in a way tho, because I kinda like playing solo for the most part. If I feel like it I ask run a flashpoint or two (flashpoints are kinda like dungeons).
Other then that the planets you quest on are stunning, especially Hoth and Alderaan. My favorites so far. And of course Taris is my least favorite place, dark and gloomy, not the kind of place you would want to live… Yes, I would like to live on Hoth :P
Spacebattles are a welcome addition to an excellent game, you run your spaceship, which you acquire around level 15-17, on pre-determined routs in space, blasting ships, turrets, escorting ships etc. It’s a whole new experience of questing, and it yields pretty good XP.
Another thing that, to me as a former WoW/Rift player, is different, is the huge amount of credits you get (credits being gold/cash/money). At level 36 I have over 230 000 credits. Tho skills and stuff is pretty expensive. At this level, new skill cost about 7-9k credits to buy, and at level 40 when you get a faster speeder, the price for that skill is 210k. So 200k might not be as much as I’m used to but it sure is fun to feel wealthy for a while :)
Some of my concerns are that you only get 1 specc, being used to Wow & Rifts multiple speccs have rendered me spoiled. Another thing is the Auction House, to be able to search for item you must first specify what kind of items you are looking for, for example, if I’m looking for a crafting material, then I have to specify what profession I’m using and then be able to search, to much hassle if you ask me. I want to be able to free-search from the get go!
I think I’m suffering from a bug or miss-configuration tho, ever so often my computer overheats while playing and starts to lag, after a few seconds after the fans done their work it’s back to normal. I hope this is a solvable problem with new drivers or an update of the game. But I’m gonna look for a new laptop cooler this weekend and see if that helps a bit.
Anyway, I really enjoy playing SWTOR, and IF you have some coins to spare after Christmas, I really think you should buy it, or at least ask a friend who has it if you can try some, I think you will enjoy it to. Check out some screenshots below and maybe I’ll see you ingame some day. I’m playing on the EU PVE server Sith’ari on the Empire side.
