Yuck and ugh, I bought some Almond milk the other day, almonds are pretty tasty otherwise, but in milk form? No thank you! It felt like I was drinking crisp bread mixed with water. It was not pleasant!

Let’s not talk about the price, 27 SEK???? for 1 liter!!!! (3.60USD for 0.2 gallons). F*ck me, thats expensive! And I don’t even know if it’s that good for you, is that price justifiable in a health aspect? Someone who knows, please comment!

One thing I absolutely hate, and a thing that always happens at the worst time is: Getting a freaking cold. Why do you always get a cold when you, for example:

  • Just got a new job!
  • Started working out!
  • About to go on a vacation!
  • Upcoming romantic date with your better half!

and my favorite:
When you decide to take care of yourself, take care of every little thing thats bothering you in your life, then, then you get that fucking cold that slows you down to the speeds of a narcoleptic sloth. Fuck, I hate having a cold. I hope someone develops a cure or a super efficient cure for the common cold. A cure that makes you immune or cures you instantly. Imagine a world without the common cold….

No more snot ridden people crowding together on the subway, no non-covering of mouths when people cough, no cold ridden zombie like people forcing themselves to work every morning, infecting everyone else. No sick children!

What’s the deal with Chia seeds?

The latest craze lately seems to be this Chia seeds thingy, everyone eats/drinks it, it’s supposed to do miracles to your body… and who wouldn’t want that?
I bought a pack of Chia seeds at the grocery store, and yea, I bought the 170g pack, a small one, for 47 SEK (almost 7 USD), and the large 1 kilo pack was 180 SEK (about 25 USD). Thats the problem with healthy, popular products, the price skyrockets and it becomes somewhat exclusive. Hell, it’s a small seed!

The health benefits is detoxing etc, but after 2 weeks of usage I haven’t noticed any change at all, tho drinking this stuff with water, lemonade or some other loose liquid is kind of gross, the seeds absorb quite a lot of liquid, and it becomes this jello type texture. It feels like you’re drinking snot and worms. Not the most pleasant thing, but who know, maybe the placebo effect of it is good for you?!

3 days with Essential Amino Rush

7042-001r_1As expected and as I said in my last post I did not continue taking Ripped Hardcore, it took too big of a toll on my workout, and my body. I felt sick every day I took em. Instead I went to Gymgrossisten Store on Södermalm in Stockholm, and I asked the guy working there what would be best for me.

He said I should get the Amino Rush powder. I don’t know about you, but I tend to listen to people who are experts in their field, so I did not question it at all, even tho I hardly know what the amino acids are. Tho he did tell me it was good if you workout on an empty stomach, which I do! Said and done, I bought it, melon flavored.

So, the day after, Tuesday, I got up at 04.45, mixed some Amino Rush in my shaker and started to drink, and F**********CK me, it was nasty, it tasted a little bit like old socks, vomit and garbage with a synthetic melon taste. Haha! I downed it all and headed for the gym…..

If I said that Ripped Hardcore made my stamina and strength increase, the Amino Rush intensified it by 10. Hooooly cow, it was such a fantastic and weird feeling. I managed to do everything I always do, but so much more, and I didn’t get tired. My muscles started to almost shake and scream for more, it was a feeling I’ve never felt before. I love it.

So for those of you who work out on an empty stomach, early in the morning and feel you need that extra push, get AMINO RUSH, it works!  I combined it with a 200mg caffeine pill just to get started, and it worked out perfectly. I can’t wait until tomorrow for my next workout.

Oh, and BTW, the taste, by day 3, I’m kind of used to it, and it doesn’t bother me as much, I just down it and be on my way! :)

SA000874_1 Ok, I’ve been using Ripped Hardcore for a week now, and I have to say, I’m not sure if I want to take them anymore. As day 2 & 3, day 4, 5, 6 were just as bad. It started out good, but after about 20 minutes of workout the stomach pains started, and lasted for about 10 minutes, and after that I felt spent, tired and my stomach acted anxious. Never got that kick, never got the feeling I was unstoppable.

Day 7: I changed my morning routine, I got up 15 minutes earlier, 04.45. And I ate some quark and a banana. THEN I took my pill with 50cl water. And this time I never got the stomach pains, but I still felt sick’ish and weak after about 40 minutes. But then something happened, I started doing cardio and I just kept going and going. I almost couldn’t, or didn’t want to stop.

But sad to say, that was just one major perk in a whole week, almost every morning workout have been a pain in the stomach and a nauseous kind of state. I don’t want that, I don’t want to feel sick while working out, my morning workout is supposed to be something amazing, strengthening and uplifting, not a hassle and painstaking. It think I’m deciding now to stop taking Ripped Hardcore, I know that a week is a very short time, but I don’t want to feel sick for another week with the hopes of feeling great, or less ill, the third week because my body gets used to the pills.

It’s been a interesting experiment, but maybe it’s over, I don’t know. I have to think about it. I’m resting Saturday and Sunday, so I have 2 days to think about it. Maybe do some research and experimenting with fast and good pre workout breakfast. I’m a little bit lost to be honest.

Day 3 with Ripped Hardcore was worse then day 2, but better then day 1.

As always I got up at 05.00, took my pill, packed my stuff and headed for the gym. Got there at 05.30.

05.40 It’s been about 10-12 minutes since I arrived and I’ve been on the treadmill since, the stomach pains are coming, slowly. Making me dizzy and feel sick.

05.45 I stopped the treadmill, headed to the weights, still dizzy and a hell of a stomach ache.

05.50 Stomach pains gone, but as yesterday, my energy levels dropped, I don’t know if it’s the pain that does it, but I didn’t feel as pumped as I did a few minutes ago.

06.30 After lots of reps, a few more minutes on the treadmill and different machines I decide to stop, my mind is kinda hazy, but I still feel that I got a pretty good workout, even tho I get reminded of the pills now and then, like waves of feeling sick, stomach pains and being top of the world.

Hell, call me crazy, but I’m gonna try them again tomorrow, and the day after that, and probably a few more weeks. Just because I need to find out if they work for me. I probably wont make a daily diary of the results, but maybe once a week and a closing statement a few months from now.

Ok, it went a lot better today then it did last Friday. Last Friday I got these sharp and horrible stomach pains from taking Ripped Hardcore. Today, Monday, I actually took some advice I found online and ate some before my workout.

05.00 My alarm goes off, first thing I do is to take one Ripped Hardcore with a piece of bread and some water.

05.05 I Eat a banana and a small portion of quark, and down a 50cl bottle of cold water.

05.25 I arrive at the gym, not feeling any effect yet. I get on the treadmill, slow start. I start out by walking for about 5 minutes, just because all that water from before made my bubbly.

05’something I kinda lost track of time after I started jogging, after I walked for 5 minutes. I didn’t get tired, sore legs or anything, and before I knew it, the timer was at 19 minutes…. Wow, I usually jog/walk for 8-9 minutes. I don’t know if it was the banana and quark that did it, or the Ripped Hardcore?! I want to think it was the pills.

06.10 Here I am, on the of the world, pumping, working out, sweating like a pig, lifting junk and breathing heavily. And all of a sudden, the sharp and unpleasant stomach pain  again, the same as last Friday. Fortunately it didn’t last as long, but it kinda stole all my energy, I had to force myself to finish my sets and remaining 45 minutes. I don’t know if it was just in my mind, scared from Friday, but I had a hard time after that. Tho I’m really happy it didn’t last more the a few minutes.

SA000874_1I’ve been going to the gym for a few weeks now, it’s been going good and I start to see the results. But I wanted to speed things up, or try to at least. Thats why I bought Chained Nutrition’s Ripped Hardcore from Gymgrossisten with the hope of boosting my mornings at the gym!

Today was the first day I took the pill, and by the way, to clarify, this is completely legal, it’s basically caffeine pills with a extra nutrition kick. I woke up at 5 this morning and the first thing I did was to take my pill. Then I got up, got dressed and packed my things. Jumped on the subway at 05.19, was at the gym 05.28, the pill hadn’t given any signs of effect yet.

05.45’ish: I had been on the treadmill for about 11 minutes when I suddenly got this sharp pain in my stomach, it was horrible. Then I started to feel sick, I didn’t know if I was gonna throw up, poop myself or explode. And on top of that I started to sweat like a pig, I mean A LOT! The sweat started dripping from my beard and I saw it gushing down my face when I looked in the mirror. Still feeling sick I went to the bathroom expecting the worst…. nothing happened.

06.08: I’m starting to feel better, the worst pains are gone, the sweating have subsided but I still feel a little sick to my stomach. And during all the time this is going for, I’m not able to work out, I just sit on the floor, breathing, closing my eyes and thinking happy thought.

06.15: The pain is gone, I’m finally able to get on the treadmill again. I did try doing weights but my energy was completely drained, I could hardly lift the dumbbell, I felt tired.

06.40: After about 20 minutes walking/jogging on the treadmill I decide to stop and go to work. It takes me about 30 minutes to get there. During those 30 minutes I felt horrible. The sweats came back, but not as much. The stomach pains came back, but not as much. I felt sick again, and tired. Finally at work I took a shower and ate my breakfast consisting of 3 eggs, 6 hard bread slices and a container or makrill.

So, in conclusion…. The first day with Ripped Hardcore was not that pleasant. It’s friday today, so I wont be working out this weekend, I always rest on saturday & sunday. But I will try it again on monday, and then I’m gonna eat something while taking the pill.

I’ve read now that a lot of people get that stomach pain because the take the pill without eating food. Taking it on an empty stomach isn’t that good. So I will take that advice and eat something on monday morning. Have you tried it? What did you experience? Tell me in the comments!

My gaming possibilities

My gaming possibilities aren’t what they used to be. As it is, I only have my iPhone & iPad to play on. My computer is kind of broken/waiting to break down due to overheating, old age and dust bunnies. It sucks not to be able to play any games as I see me friends around me do. Upside are that I have more time to spend with my girlfriend, being social etc.

Downside… I want to play games damnit, and I hate not being able to!

Hello Red Fuel

Ok, I was at the gym this morning, at 5.30 to be exact. I’m not a morning person and to find motivation and energy to work out that early is heard. It usually goes just fine, but this morning I was almost on my way home again, out the door and back to bed. I was so damn tired and low! I had read about these high caffeine drinks/pills/powder that supposed to help you get on you feet and get more energy. And as it happens, my gym offers just said drink in their vending machine, Nutramino Red Fuel….

Needless to say, it worked! Not only did it work, but i almost started laughing at the new energy it gave me. I just kept going, rowing and biking in the gym, I didn’t even get tired. I headed to weights, did some sets and had to go back to the treadmill and run off some steam. I kept running until it was time to go to work. I had been there for 1,5 hours. Ever feel unmotivated and need a pick-me-up? Look for a Red Fuel! It really helped me.
